MENA FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH STEPS |

The front
facade and entry steps of the F irst
Baptist Church in Mena was heavily damaged in the April 9th 2009
tornado that struck the heart of the city. MSBI Construction
was called upon to do the restoration of the church and they
contracted with Glennaire Construction to reconstruct and enlarge
the front steps. The work on the steps couldn't start until
other work had been done and had to be complete in time to
accommodate a wedding. The work was completed on time and in
the budget. During the course of the re-construction,
Glennaire Construction, Inc was asked by the church to repaint the
nearly 50 yea r
old steel baptistery. The work had to be complete before the
auditorium remodeling was complete and the first service held in the
repaired and redecorated sanctuary. Glennaire subcontracted
the sandblasting to remove the old paint and applied new epoxy based
paint to recoat the baptistery.
